From the cherry tree to a live edge, breadboard end, table. Just a quick video show the process from start to finish. A note about the breadboard ends: only the middle tennons are glued and the mortises toward the outside are large to allow for wood movement, mostly shrinkage in this case as the wood still has a lot of moisture. Have fun woodworking and good luck!
Here is what I have been working on for the past week. I made these tables out of reclaimed douglas fir 2x6's for a brewpub called 8 Bit Brewery. There are 4-30x96 inch table tops and 10-30x48 inch table tops. I made this video to show the production woodwork that I do. I do this full time so the projects vary from time to time. I'm working on some really cool stuff including my 100th vase so stay with me for a bit longer and i'll have some cool videos coming out. If you would like to support me and help me make more videos check out https://www.patreon.com/woodbytoth I also post shop update videos of what i'm working on. All the support I can get really helps me out and allows me to take the time to film the things that I get to build! Thanks! For inquiries and commissions contact wood...

This episode shows how to make a DIY white glass-fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC), and a live-edge spalted maple slab. I got the wood from Ebay for about $10 -- it is thinner than a typical slab for a table top, but all that is necessary for an inlay in concrete (hint: search for taxidermy slabs and you'll find good deals for a project like this). The table top is 14"x14". A fellow patent attorney made the steel legs for me, so this process isn’t shown in the video. I tried to convince him to film the process, but had no luck. Ben Uyeda over at Homemade-Modern just did a tutorial on steel legs and I recommend checking this out if you want to make your own: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOHoFy0cDUw&t=135s To Make this table you will need: (1) Bag of Pre-Blended GFRC Mix: http://www.c...

Today I'll be pairing a reclaimed Douglas fir top with a maple French Farm Base from www.tablelegs.com . 20 years ago I planted 10 birch trees on the opposite side of the road from my house. Sadly, due to the local authority's ruling, I had to cut them out. The reason given was clogging of the drainage systems. To keep the beautiful memory alive, I decided to make an Epoxy Resin Table. I deliberately poured a thick epoxy to achieve frozen water effect. This is my first experience of making a table and I've never worked with epoxy before. And I am happy with the result.

It has already proven to be useful in- and outside the shop. Also the first time I could use the metal lathe. By the way, this was no cheap project. All materials together cost about 200€, but still totally worth the investment! Link to the metal hardware: http://cncshop.at/index.php?s=3 Enjoy the video!
In this how-to tutorial video, we demonstrate how to use a piece of reclaimed cedar to create a beautiful river table. The clear EpoxAcast® 690 epoxy used in this demonstration creates a beautiful, UV resistant, high gloss surface on this woodworking project. EpoxAcast® 690 is a UV resistant clear casting epoxy that is ideal for making clear jewelry/beads or replacement lenses for kit cars and other applications requiring a rigid, clear finished product. EpoxAcast® 690 can be colored with SO-Strong® color tints. EpoxAcast® 690 is also suitable for making clear molds and prototype parts. Castings cure with negligible shrinkage and are very hard and strong. EpoxAcast® 690 is also suitable for electronic assembly encapsulation applications where component identification is necessary. table constructed entirely of demolished framing and excess building material. Unfortunately I did not have enough scrap wood to make a set of legs. So I had to use leftover oak plywood from a previous project. I just started another remodel and plan on collecting more material to make a new set of legs and possibly a coffee table. Follow up video coming soon.

The particular structure is for the lovers of natural wood in combination with metal that we used to create a dinner table. This dinner table is distinctive due to the large sizes of the materials used as well as for the metallic frame and the pieces of wood. 🌟SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/MakeitExtreme • All details: http://bit.ly/1smtKd6 • Help us on patreon: http://bit.ly/MiEPatreon Social Media: • Facebook: http://bit.ly/Makeitextreme • Instagram: http://bit.ly/makeitextreme • Google+: http://bit.ly/MakeItExtreme Other Projects: • DIY Sandblaster: http://bit.ly/1U1GrQI • DIY Spot Welder: http://bit.ly/1Z5R9d2 • Jet propane torch: http://bit.ly/29jdy5Z • DIY Barbecue Table: http://bit.ly/27VV2HA • Metal Melting Furnace: http://bit.ly/29HbKXe • Plasma cutter circle tool: http://bit.ly/1sD6...

I had a ton of scrap wood accumulating in the shop so I chopped it up and made two end tables. The black epoxy wicked up 1/2" into the endgrain on the first one I made, and I ended up having to router plane off quite a bit (and still had some black showing in the endgrain). On the second one I set up a bowl of polyurethane 1/4" deep and just dipped the bottom of each piece (which ends up being the top after its broke from the mold) before adding it. This worked really good to seal the end grain and saved me a lot of sanding/router planing. The woods mainly used are oak, cherry, walnut, ash, and hard maple.

I got success on my mind
she's a pretty nice girl
she is not being unkind
Got me a brand new pair of walking shoes
I'm all slicked back
& got nothin' to lose
I got friends who live in the jungle
lost themselves in the worthless tangle
each of them is a rolling stone
& all of them own their own homes
now some roll left & some roll right
& some of them can't sleep at night
uh huh.... they got the idiot blues....
Me I'm gonna rattle my own pots & pans
& take me off to the distant land
I hope this land don't go up in smoke
& if I go that I don't go broke
there is some time left to contemplate
so I'll put my meat right on the plate
I'll put that plate right on the train
that can carry me back to the promised land
